Sydney Sportsmed Clinic’s Podiatrist, Damian Cunningham specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of foot and lower leg problems. Qualifying in the UK in 1992 Damian has extensive experience in both the private and public sector in the UK and Australia. Along with the treatment of sports related injuries Damian has a keen interest in the treatment of high risk foot problems such as Diabetes and Vascular related foot disease.

Damian’s knowledge and experience allows him to customize a treatment regime including:

• Treatment of foot and ankle disorders, including skin and nail conditions (blisters, callous, ingrown toenails- conservative care and nail edge resection if appropriate)
• Biomechanical causes of back, hip, knee, leg, ankle and foot pain
• Prescription of corrective foot orthotics (to fit sports and/or fashion shoes)
• Advice on appropriate stretching / strengthening and training programs
• Advice on each person’s specific requirements in running shoes / football boots and other sporting footwear.

Damian has lectured overseas and presented papers at international conferences on Autonomic Dysreflexia and its Podiatric implications.
